Abdul Jaleel is an organizational development professional, with a double Bachelors and a Master's Degree holder with over 14 years of experience in the vast domain of Knowledge Management. He has been part of the core KM team that led and won ‘MAKE’ award for organizations such as IBM, Wipro and MindTree Consulting. For the last 4 years, he has been involved in various KM initiatives in Kuwait. Currently, he is associated with a KM Consulting engagement at Government of Kuwait.

Author of “Hardware, Software; Womenware”, a memoire of 55 years of Commercial computing, Dana Winner’s multi disciplinary career spans 40 years of Knowledge and Information Management in government, commercial and not-for-profit organizations. Beginning in 1993, she was an analyst in Enterprise and Process Engineering projects supporting the transformation of the FBI Laboratory Case Management System and US Coast Guard Payroll. In 1994, as a United Nations Development Program Consultant, she was a Project Manager for two Kuwait government democratization projects; the Kuwait Ministry of Commerce and Industry Client Inquiry Services Center (CRM) Prototype and as PM/designer for the Kuwait Council of Ministers Government Services Decision Support System Prototype.
In 1997-98, as contractor’s Project Manager of the National Institute of Health ERA Projects she was responsible for the implementation of the NIH Commons which was one of the first US eGovernment Portals which included award winning CRISP-on-the-WEB Portal. In 1999-2000, as an Oracle Healthcare Practice Consultant she was responsible for Quality Assurance for the development of the National Cancer Institute, Cancer Informatics Infrastructure and was involved with the design and development of several Knowledge (Expert) Systems supporting Cancer Clinical Trials such as the Cancer Common Data Elements. She returned to the Middle East in 2000 to develop eHealth systems which led to an invitation to present a paper for Distributed Medical Intelligence Conference 2002, “Connecting the Dots: eHealth in the Middle East”.
In 2001-2002, as Program Manager she was responsible for the implementation of the ZAIN (MTC-Kuwait) eBiz Portal before becoming involved in Rebuilding Iraq during 2003-2009 where she conducted Security Information Systems Projects for the Iraq Security Forces. Concurrently she developed a KM Training and consulting business in the Middle East, organizing Certification in Knowledge Management (CKM) courses in Kuwait and winning and conducting KM consulting projects with clients such as Islamic Development Bank (IDB) in Jeddah, KSA. Middle East KM training clients include Knowledge Managers from Zain Telecommunications Operator, Dubai Police, Kuwait Civil Service Commission, KISR, IDB, MNF-I and others. She has conducted the International KM Institute CKM Theme I “Advanced KM Essentials” (see www.kminstitute.org for details of the course).
In June 2007, she presented a paper in Tunis for the WFEO Women in Engineering and Technology conference “Hardware, Software; Womenware” and is currently writing a book of the same name. Ms. Winner presented a paper in March 2009 at the Dubai Government 2015 Strategy “Innovation & KM” Conference, titled “KM and IT: A Multi-dimensional Relationship”. In 2009 she completed a 6 month KM Program development project with USAID/Iraq in Baghdad and is currently developing a state-of-the-art technology project that will contribute to the rebuilding of the North Africa Transitional States.

Dr. Rehman got his MLIS and Ph.D. in Information Science from Indiana University, USA in 1983 and 1985. He has served in academic, professional and management positions since 1972. He has authored/edited six books, two of which were published by the Greenwood Press, USA and one by Saur/IFLA. He has published a large number of refereed journal articles in journals of international repute. He has produced 20 funded research and consultancy reports. He contributed more than fifty papers to international conferences. He has conducted a large number of training programs in Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Malaysia and Kuwait. He has given consultancy to a number of corporate organizations and universities. His areas of expertise include information management, knowledge management, knowledge organization, information and KM education, management of information organizations, and information resources and services.

Director of the Master’s Program in Library and Information Science at the College of Social Sciences of Kuwait University. Before joining Kuwait University, Dr. Chaudhry worked as Head of Division of Information Studies and Director of MSc (Information Studies) and MSc (Knowledge Management) at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. He had earlier held professional and teaching assignments in USA, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, and Pakistan. Dr. Chaudhry taught knowledge organization and knowledge management workshops and conducted workshops and workshops in these areas in several countries including China, Estonia, Malaysia, Pakistan, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam. His current research and publications focus on taxonomy building. He has also provided consultancies to several organizations for building taxonomies and metadata schemes. Dr. Chaudhry did Master’s at University of Hawaii and PhD at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Allam holds a Ph.D. in Technology and Knowledge Transfer for Development from Edinburgh Napier University, MSc/MBA from the Royal Agricultural College University, UK and awarded the RAC Scholarship and Prestigious Book Prize for Best MSc/MBA Dissertation and Fellow and Chartered Marketer of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, UK. He is based at the Science and Technology Policy Research - SPRU (world leader in research, consultancy and teaching in the field of Science and Technology Policy) University of Sussex, where he established and lead the postgraduate programme MSc International Management. Allam has also been fortunate enough to have a wide variety of teaching experiences prior to the University of Sussex at the University of East London, Edinburgh Napier University, University of Edinburgh, and the University of Leicester, UK. In 2009 Allam was appointed to lead the Government of Abu Dhabi major and first of its kind in the Middle East Knowledge Management Framework (Musharaka). He has published widely on how knowledge and technology transfer (TT) contribute to Sustainable Development (SD) and competitiveness in the developing countries. Allam produced more than 120 publications, including fourteen books, numerous articles on knowledge and technology transfer and management, SD, marketing and policy reports on sustainability and competitiveness. Founding Editor-in-Chief of World Journal of Science, Technology and Sustainable Development (WJSTSD); World Journal of Entrepreneurship, Management and Sustainable Development (WJEMSD); International Journal of Innovation and Knowledge Management in Middle East and North Africa (IJIKMMENA) and serves on the Editorial Board of eight international journals in S&T, KM, Business, Entrepreneurship, Marketing, Management, Strategy and International Business. He is the Founding President of World Association for Sustainable Development (WASD); Founder of Sudan Knowledge (SK); Expert Advisor to the European Commission on International Scientific Cooperation; and has worked extensively for the World Bank, UN, European Union, referee for the UK Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC), Dutch Research Council (Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research), World Food Programme, FAO, Oxford University Press and for various governments, in Africa, Europe and the Middle East. Dr. Abdulhameed Alhosani has over 25 years of experience on various fields spanning from quality assurance to training programs and lately change management and knowledge management. He holds a PhD in chemistry from the University of Glasgow.
Abdulhameed has research experience and published scientific papers and authored two books. He also has conducted numerous training workshops and has taught in universities and colleges as a visiting lecturer. Abdulhameed main interest now is helping organizations around the Gulf States to establish knowledge management programs and assist in spreading education on this vital field.
